Vacation was fantastic...MORE PLEASE!
Well we are back from vacation and I am done digging out from under the piles of laundry and luggage. Ten days away was wonderful but the work when you get back sucks! Anyway, we had loads of fun. It was relaxing, the weather was perfect and the food was good...what more can you ask for in a vacation? Here are some pictures-Enjoy!

Vermont is for Lovers
We are off to our favorite place on earth. Arlington Vermont. We have made it a Kloos family tradition to go up for the 4th just like old times. When we were young we would make the 9 hour trek from VA and go see fireworks and tour around with our grandparents. We still uphold tradition only now my parents are the grandparents and my gram and poppa are watching over their bunch of hoodlums from above. I'm sure they are smiling knowing that we are enjoying their legacy just as much today as we ever did.
Joel, Alex, Emma and myself will head up early Saturday. Rob, Kristen and Kate will join us Wednesday and Mom and Dad will get there Thursday. There will be good food (the boys do the cooking :). Lot's of swimming and shopping. Movies on the projector and late night card games while we eat good 'ole Ben & Jerry's from the Wayside Country Store.
The picture in the top left hand corner is of the covered bridge that used to be our swimming hole. When Alex gets a little bigger we'll enjoy that again. The other picture to the left is of the infamous Wayside Country Store which resides at the end of our mountain lane. The sign on the door says "If you can't find it here, you don't need it!" and how true that is. Joel can spend hours there just looking at all the food, beer, and gadgets they cram into every available space. I'm sure I will have lots of stories and pictures to share when we get back but now you can see a little glimpse of where we run to every chance we get.Saturday, June 21, 2008
Alex vs The Potty
.jpg)
As many of you know, Alex has been fighting the whole potty training "thing" for some time now. Well...IT IS FINISHED! We buckled down and conquered the porcelain throne today. She was so proud of her self after the deed was done that she jumped down and ran through the house while I chased her because we had yet to get the wiping done yet. Ah the joys of parenting.
